Dear Mr. Jefferson,

the journey was the corps at its best. the journey was America at its best. I think this passage means that the journey couldn't have been better everything worked out almost perfectly. I think the second sentence "the journey was America at its best" means that lewis and clark as Americans did what they had  to do they crossed America in a log no other man had done that and to have America do it was amazing.
P.S for my weekly labors, discoveries... for all my endeavors i have brought to this journey I believe I should be paid the grade of a... B or "B+ maybe"

Dear Sam,

After a somewhat shaky start, much like the keelboat, your observations and journal improved steadily. You even came to have a style that someone looking at you blog could recognize.

Your final entry was a little disappointing. As a final, I hoped for a bit of an extra effort that would show me and tell me you understood the theme of the question and the theme of our journey. If it was America at its best and the Corps at its best, what were some specific examples in your experience that showed that. Check out the following two final blogs for a better idea of what I am talking about:

Still, congratulations on making it home again after reaching the Pacific. Thank you for your work and improvment all along the trail.

Have a great summer.

Love,
